I had an excellent experience during my truck training, and I am very grateful for the quality of instruction I received. The training was professional, well-organized, and extremely informative. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to explain everything clearly, making sure I fully understood both the theory and practical aspects of driving.
The hands-on training was especially valuable. I gained confidence behind the wheel, improved my skills, and learned important safety practices that I know will stay with me throughout my career. The instructors created a supportive and motivating environment, which made learning enjoyable and stress-free.
Overall, this training exceeded my expectations and truly prepared me for real-world trucking. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to start or advance their career in trucking. Thank you for an amazing experience!

What sets Crossroads apart is the atmosphere. The staff treats you like a person, not just another student. They took the time to work with me on my backing maneuvers until I had them down perfectly. The trucks are well maintained, and the classroom is welcoming. As soon as you come in you'll meet Courtney who was a massive help throughout my course; and after my graduation, she took time to help me look for a start to my new career. Huge thanks to the whole team for helping me get my license and start my new journey.

I joined Crossroads to get my AZ license after it was recommended by some of my friends who went to the school previously! I had 0 information about trucking but they were able to supply me with the right studying materials and in class instructor Don! As well as a GREAT in truck instructor Darcy who helped me so much and taught more than he’s supposed to! I’m really glad that I chose this school because at first I was going somewhere else but the reviews and recommendations made me choose them over others! They did teach me and other students all the things we needed to learn whether schedule 1 or truck operating. Now some are quick learners some are slower but from what I’ve seen they really work with their students and help them so even if you’re struggling during the course, office door is always open for everyone to go in and discuss their struggles. My advice to future students if you really want to take advantage of your time during the course practice schedule 1 at home because you really can and you can also demonstrate it on your personal vehicle! Thanks a lot to all of you at Crossroads!

What a ride! Passed my D road test!!!
Nothing but awesome things to
Meaghan was my instructor for the D Class practical portion. She's who you need if you want to pass your road test at the Drive Center. It's a lot of information drilled in a short time span, can be fairly overwhelming. As well getting in the truck for the first time on shared roads with the public was pretty intense.
However, they truly care, Meaghan was like a friggin therapist, I really appreciate how she showed true genuine compassion and took no bullshit. She was real and that's what someone truly needs if they're wanting to obtain their commercial license.
The day of my test, Corrinne (another instructor) met me at the test center, as well as Rachelle. Such kind and compassionate lovely women. Corrine took the time to help me prepare briefly before by asking me questions on the Schedule 1.
Kudos to Ken and Bruce for being solid as well, as well as Casandra and Courtney.
If you're looking to train for AZ/DZ this is the place to learn it. Don't let the price tag scare you, it's worth *every* penny. They take their time to make sure you understand, fantastic instructors and industry leading safety practices.
Amazing place. Instructors & staff are simply the best and are very friendly and to their best to help you. Want to have your commercial license? The choice is simple go Crossroads!

Hello Future Truckers, I’m not someone who usually writes reviews online, but I wanted to share with you guys my honest experience with Crossroads Truck & Career Academy.
I decided to become a truck driver to start a new life and give my career a new direction. Crossroads was recommended to me by former students, and I must say, I wasn’t disappointed.
From the very first interaction with the school staff, I received tremendous support. The lovely Shea guided me through all the administrative processes, and her husband Ken, the owner—the big boss himself—helped me apply for a financing program designed for people pursuing this career path.
The training started as planned, and at Crossroads, they take it seriously. You begin with in-class training with Don, an experienced instructor who teaches you everything you need to know about rules, regulations, safety, and trip planning, all delivered with his unique sense of humor. Then, it’s Air Brake training with mighty Kurt, whose motto could be, “If there’s air in it, you’ll be able to drive it.”
After that, you move to the yard, where you finally get behind the wheel of one of the school’s many well-maintained trucks. This is where you meet your road instructor, who works to transform you from an amateur car driver into a confident truck driver. All the instructors are skilled and knowledgeable: Chris, Rohan, Bill, Jeff, Megan, and others whose names I may have missed. But for me, Ms. Rachel stood out as one the best. With her unique style she will make sure you become an expert in Schedule 1 inspections, master smooth gear shifting, and develop into a safe and capable driver.
Test day at the exam center can be nerve-wracking, but you will overcome it. In case you fail, as I did several times, don’t worry. Go back, work harder, and keep trying. The team at Crossroads will focus on your weak points, help you address them, and rebuild your confidence. That’s exactly what they did for me when I struggled with backing maneuvers. They never gave up on me. Even Ken, the big boss himself, rolled up his sleeves and trained me until I finally passed.
So guys, if you’re looking for more than just a driving school that sees you as a number, go to Crossroads. You’ll find family—a team of staff and instructors who will never quit on you.
And for newcomers like me, Crossroads was more than a school. It’s a place where I met genuine Canadians—thoughtful professionals committed to preparing you for the road with the skills and confidence you need. Good luck to all of you out there!
